  • 1 tablespoon tamari or soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh grated ginger
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • black pepper
  • 1/4 cup avocado or sesame oil
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup tamari or soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 large head broccoli, cut into florets (about a cup and a half of florets)
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon chopped ginger
  • chili flakes
  • 12 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, tamari, grated ginger, chopped green onions, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Roll the mixture into tablespoon-sized meatballs and dredge each in cornstarch.
  3. In a glass jar, whisk together tamari, honey, and water to create the sauce.
  4. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat and cook meatballs until browned on all sides.
  5. Remove meatballs and add broccoli to the skillet; sauté until charred, then stir in garlic and chili flakes.
  6. Pour in the sauce and bring to a boil before adding meatballs back into the pan.
  7. Simmer until the sauce thickens slightly; serve over rice topped with sesame seeds.
