  • 46 tea bags
  • 1 cup mixed strawberries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (to taste)
  • 8 cups water (divided)
  • Fresh berries and mint for garnish
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Prepare strawberries by washing and slicing them.
  2. Puree the sliced strawberries in a food processor or blender until smooth.
  3. In a medium saucepan, boil 2 cups of water; remove from heat and steep tea bags for 15-20 minutes.
  4. In another saucepan, combine strawberry puree, sugar, and 1 cup water; simmer until syrup forms.
  5. Strain the syrup through a fine mesh strainer to remove pulp.
  6. Remove tea bags from steeped tea, combine with strawberry syrup in a pitcher.
  7. Add remaining 6 cups of cold water and stir well.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator until completely cold.
  9. Serve over ice, garnished with fresh berries and mint.
