  • Sanding sugar
  • 1 8-ounce block of cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon sour cream
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons lime juice, freshly squeezed or bottled
  • Lime zest from one whole lime
  • 21/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • Fresh blueberries, rinsed and dried
  • Fresh strawberries, stems removed and cut in half
  • Optional garnish: additional lime zest

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. Unfold the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface; cut out rounds using biscuit cutters.
  3. Mix cream cheese, sour cream, sugar, lime juice, zest, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Place two tablespoons of the filling on each round; add fresh fruit on top.
  5. Bake for 15-16 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Allow to cool before serving.
