  • 1/2 cup milk or dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp coconut oil or butter (optional)
  • Pastel candy eggs (2–4 per cookie, depending on size)
  • Colorful sprinkles or nonpareils (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt. In another bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy. Add vanilla extract and egg; mix until smooth.
  3. Gradually mix in dry ingredients until dough forms. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions onto the baking sheet and flatten into disks.
  4. Bake for 8–10 minutes until edges set; let cool completely.
  5. For nests, melt chocolate chips in the microwave; mix with chow mein noodles until coated.
  6. Shape noodles into circular nests on cooled cookies; let set at room temperature.
  7. Melt additional chocolate for filling; spoon into nests and top with candy eggs.
