Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners or grease it well.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the egg, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Gently fold the wet mixture into the dry ingredients until just combined. Carefully incorporate the cherries.
  5. For the streusel topping, mix brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon in a small bowl; cut in softened butter until crumbly.
  6. Fill each muffin cup about three-quarters full with batter and top generously with streusel.
