Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 sheets of puff pastry
  • 30g caster or granulated sugar
  • 2 heaped teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 4 large apples (such as Granny Smith)
  • Dairy-free milk (for brushing)
  • Vegan caramel sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Wash, peel, core, and slice the apples thinly. In a bowl, toss apple slices with sugar and cinnamon until well coated.
  3. On a floured surface, roll out one sheet of puff pastry to about ¼ inch thick.
  4. Cut the pastry into rectangles or squares. Place spiced apple filling in the center of each piece.
  5. Fold the pastry over to create pockets and seal edges using a fork.
  6. Brush tops with dairy-free milk for a golden finish.
  7. Arrange on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
