- 1 ½ lbs ground beef
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- ½ cup milk
- 6 slices cooked turkey bacon, crumbled
- 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
- 1 cup mushrooms, finely chopped
- ¼ cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, crumbled turkey bacon, salt, and pepper until well mixed.
- Gently fold in shredded Swiss cheese and chopped mushrooms.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased loaf pan and shape it firmly.
- In a small bowl, mix ketchup and brown sugar; spread over the meatloaf.
- Bake for about 60 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
