  • 1 ½ lbs ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup milk
  • 6 slices cooked turkey bacon, crumbled
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup mushrooms, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, crumbled turkey bacon, salt, and pepper until well mixed.
  3. Gently fold in shredded Swiss cheese and chopped mushrooms.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased loaf pan and shape it firmly.
  5. In a small bowl, mix ketchup and brown sugar; spread over the meatloaf.
  6. Bake for about 60 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  7. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
