  • 2 large sweet potatoes, roasted until tender
  • 6 tbsp butter, softened
  • ⅔ cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground cardamom
  • ½ tsp ground ginger
  • ¼ tsp ground cloves
  • ¼ tsp ground allspice
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 prepared pie crust, crushed

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and roast sweet potatoes until tender, about 45-60 minutes.
  2. Line a 9×13 baking pan with parchment paper and grease lightly. Reduce the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C).
  3. Melt butter and chocolate chips together in a bowl. Whisk in sugar, eggs, and vanilla until combined.
  4. Fold in cocoa powder, flour, and salt until just mixed.
  5. Spread brownie batter evenly in the prepared pan.
  6. Mash cooled sweet potatoes and mix with remaining topping ingredients until smooth.
