  • 8 large pasta shells
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Boil salted water in a large pot and cook the pasta shells until al dente; drain well.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, crushed tomatoes, minced garlic, chopped basil, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
  3. Generously fill each shell with the creamy mixture and place them in a baking dish.
  4. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Stir in remaining crushed tomatoes and season with salt and pepper; simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. Layer half of the sauce in the bottom of your baking dish, add stuffed shells on top, pour remaining sauce over them, and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake uncovered for about 20 minutes or until bubbly and golden. Garnish with extra basil before serving warm.
