Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet instant yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup warm milk (about 110°F)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup strawberry jam
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp milk (as needed for consistency)

Instructions

  1. In a stand mixer or mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Stir in warm milk and melted butter until well mixed. Add egg and mix until dough forms. Knead on a floured surface until smooth.
  2. Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes until doubled in size.
  3. Prepare the filling by beating together softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Fold in chopped strawberries and strawberry jam gently.
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle (16×12 inches), spread with softened butter, then top with the cheesecake filling and a sprinkle of cinnamon mixed with brown sugar.
  5. Roll tightly into a log shape and cut into 12 pieces. Place in a greased baking dish and allow to rise for another 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. For the glaze, beat together softened cream cheese and butter; add powdered sugar gradually until smooth, adjusting consistency with milk as needed.
  8. Drizzle glaze over warm rolls before serving.
