Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef tenderloin or shoulder, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 4 cups bok choy, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Slice beef into thin strips and chop bok choy into separate parts (white stems and green leaves). Mince garlic and grate ginger.
  2. In a bowl, mix sliced beef with cornstarch and soy sauce; let marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a wok over medium-high heat until hot. Stir-fry the marinated beef for about 3-4 minutes until browned; remove from the wok.
  4. In the same wok, stir-fry minced garlic and grated ginger quickly for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add bok choy white stems first; cook for about two minutes before adding green leaves until wilted but vibrant.
  6. Return cooked beef to the wok; toss everything together until heated through.
