  • 4 to 5 green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and finely chopped
  • 1 cup sugar (adjustable)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 2 tablespoons lemon or lime juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Two 8-ounce packs of softened cream cheese

Instructions

  1. Rinse cranberries under cold water, discarding stems or blemished berries.
  2. Finely chop green onions and cilantro; set aside.
  3. In a food processor, combine cranberries, jalapeño, green onions, cilantro, sugar (start with less), cumin, lemon/lime juice, and salt. Pulse until slightly chunky.
  4. Transfer mixture to a bowl and blend in softened cream cheese until smooth.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to enhance flavors.
