  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/3 cup finely diced red bell pepper
  • 2 tablespoons diced green onion
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoons cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt (or to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (or to taste)
  • 2 cloves garlic (finely chopped or minced)
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil (or oil of your choice)
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 2 strips cooked turkey bacon (cut in half)
  • 2 buns (toasted)
  • mayo
  • sriracha
  • red onion (sliced)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, egg, breadcrumbs, red bell pepper, green onion, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and garlic. Mix until just combined and form into four equal balls.
  2. Heat avocado oil in a skillet over medium heat. Smash each ball down gently with a spatula and cook for about 4-5 minutes until browned on one side. Flip carefully.
  3. Top each patty with cheddar cheese and cover the skillet for an additional 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted.
  4. Assemble the burgers by spreading mayo and sriracha on toasted buns, adding two patties per bun along with crispy turkey bacon and sliced red onion.
