  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/8 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg yolk (room temperature)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup + 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp fine sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 4 Oreos (chopped plus more for the top)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup + 1/8 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg (room temperature)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp fine sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line an 8×8 baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Make the cookie dough by creaming together butter and sugars, then mixing in egg yolk and vanilla. Fold in flour, salt, baking soda, and chopped Oreos.
