  • 60 ml whole milk
  • 50 g breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 800 g canned crushed tomatoes
  • Fresh herbs (oregano and basil)
  • Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine milk and breadcrumbs; let soak for 5 minutes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine soaked breadcrumbs with ground beef, egg, Parmesan cheese, garlic, oregano, basil, chili flakes, salt, and pepper. Mix until well incorporated.
  3. Roll mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Brown meatballs on all sides (about 5-7 minutes) and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, sauté onions until softened; add garlic until fragrant.
  6. Pour in crushed tomatoes along with herbs; simmer for 10 minutes.
  7. Return meatballs to the skillet; cover and simmer on low heat for about 20-25 minutes until tender.
