  • 1 ¼ cups granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons culinary matcha powder (sifted)
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ⅓ cups mochiko (sweet rice flour)
  • 1 ¼ teaspoons fine sea salt
  • For the ganache: 6 ounces white chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time and mix well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, sift together mochiko, matcha powder, and sea salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture until just combined.
  4. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. For the ganache, microwave white chocolate chips with heavy cream until smooth; stir in matcha powder.
  6. Once brownies are cooled, cut into squares and drizzle with ganache before serving.
