  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tbsp pure maple syrup (for glaze)
  • 12 tbsp milk or cream (for glaze)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, spices, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract. Add pumpkin puree and maple syrup; mix until smooth.
  5. Gradually combine dry ingredients with the wet mixture until just blended.
  6. Scoop dough onto prepared sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are set; cool on wire racks.
  8. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar with maple syrup and milk until smooth; drizzle over cooled cookies.
