  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon maple extract

Instructions

  1. In a mixer bowl, cream together the room temperature butter and maple sugar until combined. Add powdered sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
  2. Incorporate maple syrup and maple extract; mix until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, and salt before gradually adding to the wet mixture until dough forms.
  4. Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before rolling it out to about 1/8 inch thick.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare baking sheets with parchment paper.
