  • 1 egg, at room temperature
  • 2 tsp vanilla bean paste
  • 1/2 cup granulated white sugar (for frosting)
  • 1/2 tbsp culinary lavender (for frosting)
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened (for frosting)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp culinary lavender (for frosting)
  • 1 tsp vanilla bean paste (for frosting)
  • Purple food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy. Add in the egg and vanilla bean paste; mix well.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and Earl Grey tea. Gradually combine dry ingredients with the wet mixture.
  4. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Bake for about 9 minutes until lightly golden around the edges. Cool before frosting.
  6. For the frosting, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth; add powdered sugar and culinary lavender.
