  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 (14-ounce) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the beef with salt and pepper, then sear it until browned on all sides.
