  2. Add sugar and lemon juice to the pot with the strawberries and stir well to combine.

  4. Add the remaining sliced strawberries to the pot and continue cooking for an additional 2 minutes while stirring gently.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before pouring into a mason jar for storage.
