  • 1 small yellow or white onion (diced)
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 (15.5 oz) can diced tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons chili seasoning
  • 1 (15.5 oz) can dark red kidney beans (rinsed and drained)
  • 1 (15.5 oz) can light red kidney beans (rinsed and drained)

Instructions

  1. In a large non-stick skillet, brown the ground beef with diced onion over medium-high heat until fully cooked. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  2. Transfer the meat mixture to your slow cooker.
  3. Add crushed tomatoes, diced tomatoes, chili seasoning, and both types of beans to the slow cooker; mix well.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or high for about 4-5 hours until flavors meld beautifully.
