  • 2 chicken breasts, cut into 1” pieces
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Flour for dredging
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 8 oz cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • ½ medium onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • ⅔ cup chicken broth
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup full-fat sour cream

Instructions

  1. Season chicken with garlic powder, salt, and pepper; coat lightly in flour. Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear chicken until browned. Remove from skillet.
  2. In the same skillet, melt butter; sauté mushrooms and onions until golden.
  3. Stir in Dijon mustard and minced garlic; cook for about a minute.
  4. Add chicken broth while scraping the bottom of the pan to gather flavor.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet; heat through for about 2 minutes. Gently stir in sour cream until warmed.
