  • 2 large ripe bananas
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×5-inch loaf pan by greasing it and lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth, then mix in melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually add to the banana mixture until just combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese with granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  5. Pour half of the banana batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar over it and layer with cream cheese filling. Top with remaining batter and sprinkle with leftover cinnamon sugar.
  6. Use a knife to create swirls in the batter gently.
  7. Bake for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow cooling before slicing.
