  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 5 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder. Add in the milk, eggs, and vanilla. Stir until just combined. Mix in melted butter until fully incorporated.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared dish evenly.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix softened butter, brown sugar, flour, and ground cinnamon until well combined. Drop spoonfuls of this mixture over the cake batter. Use a knife to gently swirl the cinnamon mixture through the batter.
  5. Bake for 35–40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. While the cake bakes, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  7. Once baked, drizzle glaze evenly over the warm cake. Slice into pieces and serve warm.
