  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 package (3.9 ounces) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 cups milk
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whipped topping (plus extra for topping)
  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter. Press firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish. Chill while preparing the filling.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and milk until thickened. Set aside.
  3. Beat softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth using an electric mixer. Gently fold in whipped topping.
  4. Spread half of the cream cheese mixture over the crust, then pour the prepared pudding on top. Spread the remaining cream cheese mixture.
  5. Top with additional whipped topping and sprinkle crushed peppermint candies before covering and chilling for at least 2 hours.
