  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 bag semi-sweet chocolate chips (1011 oz)
  • Optional: ¼ cup walnut pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, salt, and baking soda.
  3. In a larger bowl, combine cold butter pieces, granulated sugar, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until well mixed.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized dough balls onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them two inches apart.
