  • 12 oz uncooked chow mein noodles
  • 2 cups cabbage
  • 1 large carrot (julienned)
  • 1/2 batch green onions
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 4 Tbsp oyster sauce
  • 3 Tbsp low sodium soy sauce
  • 3 Tbsp light sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 Tbsp corn starch
  • 1 Tbsp granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sauce by whisking together oyster sauce, granulated sugar, sesame oil, soy sauce, chicken broth, and cornstarch in a bowl. Set aside.
  2. Cook chow mein noodles according to package instructions; drain and rinse with cold water.
  3. Heat oil in a large wok or frying pan over medium heat. Cook bite-sized strips of chicken until golden brown; remove from the pan.
  4. Sauté julienned carrots, cabbage, and pressed garlic until softened.
  5. Return chicken and cooked noodles to the pan; pour prepared sauce over everything. Stir well for another 2 minutes until heated through.
