  • 1 small yellow onion
  • 2 cans diced tomatoes (15-ounce cans)
  • 15-ounce can tomato sauce
  • 6-ounce can tomato paste
  • 15 ounces water
  • 3 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons onion powder
  • 3 tablespoons cumin
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chipotle powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda (optional)

Instructions

  1. Sauté diced green peppers and onions in a large Dutch oven until translucent.
  2. Stir in seasonings and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add ground meat and brown until just cooked through.
